Align, don’t hustle: Breathwork practice
The Align Don't Hustle Practice
Seed • Footprints • Anchor • Thorns
A 10-Minute Somatic Breathwork Journey
Find a comfortable position.
You might be sitting, lying down, or standing.
Allow your body to be supported.
Let your hands rest somewhere that feels comforting—perhaps on your heart, your belly, or gently by your sides.
Notice the space you are in.
Allow yourself to become aware of the sounds around you—the sounds close by and those further away.
Perhaps you notice the hum of a room, birds outside, voices, movement, or sounds you hadn't noticed before.
You may also notice different smells in your environment, the feeling of the air on your skin, or the sensations within your body.
Rather than seeing these things as distractions, see them as invitations.
An invitation to practise being present with what is here.
You don't need to block anything out or create perfect conditions for this practice.
Everything you notice is welcome.
The sounds, the sensations, the smells, the thoughts, the feelings.
They are all part of this moment.
This is an opportunity to gently meet yourself exactly where you are.
There is nothing to fix.
Nothing to force.
Simply notice.
Simply breathe.
Simply arrive.
Seed
Intention & Vision
(Approx. 2 minutes)
Begin by taking a slow breath in through your nose for a count of 4.
Inhale... 2... 3... 4.
And gently exhale for a count of 6.
Exhale... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6.
Again.
Inhale... 2... 3... 4.
Exhale... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Your face to relax.
Your body to receive the message that there is no rush.
Continue with this gentle rhythm.
Breathing in for 4...
Breathing out for 6...
Imagine yourself holding a small seed in your hands.
This seed represents your intention.
Your hopes.
Your vision.
Not something you need to force into existence, but something you can nurture with care.
Ask yourself:
What is the seed I want to plant right now?
What matters most to me in this season of my life?
Allow whatever comes to arise.
There is no need to have all the answers.
Seeds grow slowly.
Your vision can unfold in its own time.
Take one final breath here.
Inhale for 4...
Exhale for 6...
And remind yourself:
I trust the wisdom of where I am beginning.
